On Saturday, November 30th, the Rutherford Holiday Parade, coordinated by the Rutherford Chamber of Commerce, will take place at 4 pm. The parade will begin at 4 pm at the corner of Springfield and Union Avenues, and will end at Lincoln Park. The Union School band and the Rutherford Community band will be participating in the parade and getting everyone into the Holiday spirit. The Girl Scouts will be dressed in holiday costumes. Spectators will be excited to see Santa at the very end of the Parade.

This year’s Grand Marshall will be Jimmy Rizzo, Bank Manager of BCB Bank in Rutherford.

At the beginning and end of the parade route, the Rutherford Police Department will stage the "Hungry Humvee" where people can drop off food non-perishable food items, as well as other toiletry items. For a needs list for the Rutherford Food Pantry, please visit their website.

Immediately following the parade, the annual Tree Lighting will take place in front of the Rutherford Public Library.

From 5 – 8 p.m., all are welcome to enjoy a Holiday Village in Lincoln Park. The Holiday Village will include crafts with the Girl Scouts, rides, entertainment, a Holiday Musical Revue, free horse and carriage rides, free photos with Santa, and stories with Mrs. Claus. Project Graduation will be selling refreshments and the Boy and Cub Scouts will be selling wreaths and popcorn at the Gazebo.

Saturday, November 30th is also Small Business Saturday and local businesses and restaurants will appreciate the support of Rutherford residents and visitors. There will also be festive carolers on Park Ave.
