Rutherford Day 2024 will be held in Lincoln Park on Saturday, September 21st. The second annual Rutherford Day will take place from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. Many businesses, such as Dan Meredith's Allstate Agency, Sweet Avenue Bakery, and Walking with Schlemm, and non-profit organizations, such as the Rutherford Congregational Church, Meadowlands Museum, and the Art Association, will have tables and activities at this event.

As always, Rutherford Day will be a family-friendly event. There will be a section of fun inflatables for children, a dunk tank hosted by the Rutherford Education Foundation, music (local bands Big House and Rutherford Rock, and Springwood's Electric Luau) and dancing (Backstage Performing Arts Center dancers), and several food trucks. For the adults, Mason's Cellar will present a Beer Garden with proceeds benefitting the Rutherford Lacrosse Association and Rutherford PBA 300.

Various civic and Borough committees, including the Green Team, Rutherford Public Library, and many more will also be set up in the park.

Kim Bogosian, the Borough's Public Information Officer, organizes this event. In the recent This is Rutherford Print Edition Powered by the Rutherford Chamber of Commerce, she explained, "We're moving the event to Lincoln Park and the surrounding streets this year since we weren't sure where we would be in terms of the various capital improvement projects ongoing at Memorial Field. Also, we felt relocating to Lincoln Park would help encourage more local businesses to participate and the tighter grouping of activities and events will give us the strong community feel we are striving for and have here in Rutherford."
