On December 18th, students from the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at Rutherford High School delivered the bears they had collected to P.S. 2 in Jersey City.
RHS Business teacher and one of the Advisors of the FBLA told This is Rutherford, “Because of the support of the staff, faculty, administration 153 students who attend P.S. 2 in Jersey City went home with a gift that might be their only gift!”
Both the students at P.S. 2 and the students from RHS enjoyed meeting one another and participating in a few activities together. One of the teachers at P.S. 2 (a former RHS teacher) told Mrs. Leonard, “I’ve never met a more polite, respectful group of high school students before today.”
This was one of the many altruistic projects that RHS students were involved in this holiday season. To read more about this particular project, click here.
