One of Rutherford's most beloved traditions is Santa Day. This year Rutherford Fire Engine Co.2 held its annual Santa Day on Saturday, December 17th.
Children and adults anxiously waited to hear the sirens as the trucks drove up and down the streets of the Borough. Santa's helpers provided a map of their route and a link to a website to track Santa and Mrs. Claus as they made their way through town.
All of the firefighters that are part of the Rutherford Fire Department are volunteers that are on call twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The Fire Departments rely on charitable donations from residents who support their selfless work and heroism.
