At 9:00 am on May 27th, a Memorial Service took place at the Union Memorial Bridge for the Veterans who lost their lives at sea. After the Memorial Service at the bridge, there was a service for WWI Veterans at Sunset Park. The Memorial Day parade took place immediately after, beginning at Sunset Park on Union Ave and ending at Park Ave to honor our fallen service men and women. The Posthumous Grand Marshals were the Six Laval Brothers from Rutherford who served in WWII. At the conclusion of the parade, there was a solemn ceremony of remembrance in front of Borough Hall, which also paid tribute to the Laval Brothers.
