Event Recap: 2024 Ragamuffin Parade

Rutherford's Annual Ragamuffin Holiday Parade took place on Saturday, October 26th. Over one hundred participants wore creative costumes and the parade route and Lincoln Park were filled with Halloween excitement. Families lined up on Elliot Place in front of the high school and marched to Lincoln Park where judges waited at the Bandshell.


Councilmembers Ray Guzman and Maria Begg-Robersons announced the participants as they walked past the judges. Mayor Frank Nunziato, Council President Stephanie McGowan, and Councilwoman Christie DelRey-Cone also attended the event and cheered for the participants. Recreation Director Pat Bonner and his colleagues Sandi Maslag, and Janice Guzman organized and facilitated the event.


Ten Runners-Up were announced before the Grand Prize Winner. The Runners-Up included the families seen below:





The Grand Prize Winner was The Rutherford Farmers Market:



It was a beautiful and exciting day in the Borough of Rutherford with the first of many events to celebrate Halloween.
