Come join the Borough of Rutherford and the Police Department in celebrating National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in and around Lincoln Park.

Chief John R. Russo invites Rutherford residents to join over 38 million neighbors across 16 thousand communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide in celebrating National Night Out.

Now in it's 36th year, National Night Out is a community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. You can learn more about the history of National Night Out here.

Police, fire and ambulance vehicles will be on display at Lincoln Park in addition to various public safety exhibits. There will be a DJ, rides, children’s games, food and much more!

Also, the Hungry Humvee will be collecting donations for the Rutherford Community Pantry (see their current needs list here). Donating at the Hungry Humvee will make you eligible for a chance to win a replica lithograph autographed poster featuring NY JETS DEFENSIVE END LEONARD WILLIAMS #92.

Bring your families, neighbors and friends and join us for a night of free family fun.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood unity and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
