An Evening of Hope, a Center for Hope & Safety Gala, was held at the Seasons in the Township of Washington. Pete and Jackie Miragliotta, longtime Rutherford residents, received the 2025 Outstanding Service Award, a special honor for those committed to the CFHS's efforts.

Pete joined the Center for Hope & Safety’s Board of Trustees in April 2018 and officially began his first term in February 2019. The following year, Pete was elected President of the Board. He is serving his third term and has made an incredible impact over the past six years. He is the current chair of the Governance Committee and is a member of the Finance and Development Committee. His ability to network and connect with the community has made him successful as the Chair of the Golf Committee.

Pete's wife, Jackie, has also volunteered alongside Pete. Jackie, a retired teacher, has volunteered for gift wrapping, at the thrift shop, and attended countless events. She has joined Pete in speaking with community members and the media to spread the word about the Center for Hope & Safety and to seek support for their mission.

Pete and Jackie worked together to organize several "Sip for Safety" wine tastings as fundraisers for the Center for Hope and Safety. At these wine tastings, other events, and through social media outlets, Jackie and Pete have shared their own story about the loss of their daughter, Michele, a beloved teacher and mother of three, who was murdered by her husband in 2016. By sharing their heartbreaking story, they have been able to raise awareness about signs of domestic abuse and the assistance that the Center for Hope & Safety can offer for victims of abuse.
